Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty
When we talk of World War II, all I could ever think of were missiles, bombs, and lives that were lost. I can’t imagine how my life would be if I was born during that stage. Will I be able to survive? Is there someone who can save the lives of the innocent people?
Captain America, is the first Avenger created and emerged as a symbol of hope during the war. The superhero was created as one of the best-selling comics for Marvel during that period. Captain America became the intentionally patriotic. Last 2011, Marvel recreated the character in the movie entitled, Captain America: The First Avenger starring Chris Evans. Now, Marvel Entertainment presents America’s symbolic character with the app, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty.
The app is not directly associated with the comic book and the movie. The game has its own storyline, written by Marvel’s Christos Gage. Just like the original story, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty battles with the same enemies, the terrorist organization, Hydra. The app has no spoilers; if you haven’t heard of the story of Captain America, or haven’t seen the movie you will still be able to enjoy and comprehend this game.
SUPER SOLDIER ACTION
Unleash epic combat moves as you take down HYDRA soldiers! Shield slide to traverse difficult terrain, perform takedowns in mid-air or on the ground, and launch your shield for long-range attacks.
TOUCH VISUAL POWER
Spectacular graphics and precise touch controls combine to give Sentinel of Liberty fluid cinematic action. Execute wall runs, slide under traps, and unleash devastating combo attacks with dynamic intensity you can feel.
STORM AND STEALTH
Take down machine gun wielding enemies, and maneuver around land mines on battlefields of WWII. Make your way through the secret HYDRA hideout and take down the evil Red Skull.
MASSIVE DEPTH
24 levels, each with multiple pathways and hidden areas, unfold over three massive episodes. Impressive unlockables, high score leaderboards, and tons of extra features add to the massive gameplay experience
ORIGINAL STORY AND SOUNDTRACK
The action of Captain America comes to life with an original story and script written by Marvel writer Christos Gage. Comic panels by Marvel artists Ron Lim and Christopher Sotomayor and a compelling original soundtrack complete the Captain America experience.
Gameplay:
Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty is just like the Thor: Son of Asgard app. All you have to do is play the role of the Avenger, Captain America. Captain America’s story happens during the war period. In playing the role of the Captain you will need to execute the members of the Hydra organization as you move on to the next level. In order to get rid of the enemies, Captain America will defend himself using different feats. These stunts are imparted as you progress to the next level, so make sure that you scrupulously master those techniques. You also have to acquire significant objects hidden in different scenes in the game. Watch out for traps as it may wound the Captain or increase the number of enemies along the way.
The game is repetitive and like the Thor: Son of Asgard app, there are no power-ups for the Captain. I think using the same techniques for the entire game makes it tedious and less stimulating. Once you mastered all the techniques and the stunts, you will no longer feel the urge and challenge in concluding the game.
Final Words:
On the positive note, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty has stunning HD graphics and original scoring. My overall rating: The Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty is worth a shot. If you enjoyed the Thor: Son of Asgard app, is another Avenger app you shouldn’t miss.
