The Muffin Munch app may be one of the cutest apps ever created, but don’t be self-assertive. There is a hidden puzzle in this game that you have to look for to get a high score and move on to the next level.

Muffin Munch seems like a simple matching game, but don’t be fooled by the sweet smiles offered by the muffins. The muffins has to be matched with the same kind. Mix two of them together, you create a bigger muffin. Just continue on mixing muffins of the same kind for them to explode. In order to create a bigger explosion you can do a simple technique: combine 3 muffins together and add them with the same 3 muffin combination. Why do you have to do that? You’ll achieve a higher score with that technique.

This game is not that easy; it has a built-in puzzle that you have to solve in a matter of seconds. You are only given a certain amount of muffins in every level. You get extra muffins when you move on to the next level. If you’re left with no muffins, you lose the game. The game seems pretty blunt; in reality, you have to think twice before you decide on a move.

Ditch or hoard the muffins?

Let’s begin the assessment with the graphics. Honestly, it was too hard to resist. I have this weakness for cute pink little creatures so I loved it the moment I saw it. The background was simple but perfect for the game because it doesn’t create a confusion with the color of the muffins.

The gameplay of is severely simple for my taste. I think it is the downside of the app– the lack of action in an adorable game. All you have to do is match the muffins while solving the puzzle and you’ll survive numerous levels. I’m not saying that I made a smooth finish. The puzzle’s progress was boring that I didn’t mind getting a low score. After playing for a couple of rounds and achieving a high score, I don’t want to beat that anymore. I can’t seem to find any urge to beat someone that has a higher score. Sorry cute little muffins, your game looks promising but I have to let you go.
