Summary:

Build, unlock new friends and save Botkin the rabbit from the evil gnome with Gnome Village.

Have you watched the Walt Disney Pictures film, Gnomeo and Juliet? In this comical romantic action comedy movie, the neighboring gardens of Montague and Capulet are in feud but the garden gnomes, Gnomeo and Juliet felt a premature ventricular contraction for each other. I would say that it’s one of my favorite animated movies next to Up, Finding Nemo and Toy Story. If you loved William Shakespeare’s the greatest love story ever told, Romeo and Juliet, you’ll definitely be madly in love with how Disney added a twist to the star-crossed love affair of the leading stars, Gnomeo and Juliet. It’s the battle between the blue hats (Gnomeo) and the red hats (Juliet), but definitely their true love conquered it all.

Whether you’re a fan of Gnomeo and Juliet or not, this app review will present a new game loaded with fun and cute characters that’s worthy of your time. Let’s all travel and meet new neighbors as we build our own houses in Gnome Village.

You’re probably familiar with other building games which the Applatter team has also presented like Smurfs’ Village. In Smurfs’ Village, you play the role of a cute little blue-colored smurf as you build your own village, plant and harvest fruits, accomplish your mission and play mini games to upgrade your skills. Well, Gnome Village won’t let your expectations down! This game has a magical feature that will make you have the nostalgia over your childhood memories and the flick, Gnomeo and Juliet.

Gnome Village is a free casual building Android application which was developed by Disney, who gave fruitful meaning to our childhood memories with their adorable and admirable comical cartoon movies. It is a creative, unique and inspirational game which people of all ages will truly enjoy. The game all began with the peaceful lives of the gnomes in Disney’s enchanted forest. However, life isn’t all about happiness. One day, the evil gnome trapped one of the rabbit buddies of the gnomes named Botkin. After that, the evil gnome started terrorizing all the fuzzy forest critters. Now the life of Botkin and the story of the Gnome Village relies at your hands. You need to play, build and save Botkin the rabbit from the black means of the evil gnome. Are you up for the challenge? Read on!

Features

√ Build your own Gnome village depending on your own taste and preference

√ Explore the Enchanted forest

√ Collect more than 20 cute and adorable forest creatures

√ Uncover and complete hundreds of quests

√ Discover new lands and environment from the Gnome Kingdom

Gameplay

Yes, the gameplay is somewhat similar to Smurfs’ Village yet they differ in so many ways, especially their features. There’s more to just simply building your own village. The game starts by asking help from you as you select your character from either a gnome (male) or a gnomette (female). After which, the story will all depend on how you will manage to run your own village while accomplishing all your goals.

You begin playing in a small forest area. (Well, we all start from something small right and eventually work harder to make it bigger than we could have ever imagined.)  As your adventure and journey continues, you will expand and uncover new areas. In this newly found area, you can explore that there’s something magical and special hidden in that specific area or perhaps a mushroom which will enable you to finish a quest. Those new areas will be the secret key to build and decorate the area using the “buildings” and “decorations” tab. This option will allow you to customize your village the way you want it to be and unlock new friends and worlds that you can explore with. In addition, you can also add animals, crops and bushes to make your village more appealing and real. Sounds fun, right?

Kirsten Loves

I simply love the incredible cartoon-style graphics of this app! It’s obvious that it came from the genius creators of such massive animated films, TV shows and cartoon characters, Disney. The design of the whole app including the background and every detail of the graphics are like hand drawn and colored with watercolor. It’s very flawless, colorful and really cute! Of course, to suit the cuteness overload of the app, the enchanting sounds add up to the whole cute and entertaining package of the app which is a perfect companion as you uncover the secrets of the gnome village and accomplish your goals. All the sound effects are well developed and are in perfect timing as the game progresses. The app is simple and easy to use which will benefit a lot of players who are looking for an easy yet good game.

Kirsten Wants

As said from the Google Play Store, Gnome Village should be connected to the internet if you want to play with it. Hence, I just hope that there will be an added feature like an offline game mode where users will not need to connect it to the internet to lessen the hassle of simply playing and relieving the boredom. If possible, how I wish that there will be additional features in this app like social media sharing so that your friends will know what you’re up to or probably some mini games which you can play with while waiting for your crops to grow or to figure out your mission.

Enter the Gnome Village!

For some odd reason, I am fascinated with gnomes. Well, the animated and adorable garden gnomes and not the creepy real one (if they are any). Kidding aside, I just really love the film, Gnomeo and Juliet because it’s not just a simple re-telling of the classic Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet, since it has its own twists. It is jam packed with action, romance, and comedy that makes up a feel good movie. If you haven’t watched it, go and see for yourself.

That’s why I was intrigued with this gaming application, Gnome Village! Despite the cons, I guess my love for this app weighs more than the negative side. From the excellent graphics, interface and sounds, I must say that this app is really a must-try! All in all, I still give this app a four star rating. Considering it’s free, it is still loaded with cool features that will keep you entertained as you try your best to save Botkin the rabbit!

If you love building games and you’re up for the challenge of saving and becoming a hero in your own village, then go and save Botkin the rabbit, build your own gnome village, unlock new friends and worlds, and play Gnome Village now! I believe that this game is one app that is worthy of your time.
