Summary:

DevStorm's NoIMGdata is an easy to use, mobile application that will allow you to protect your privacy quickly.

With today’s technology, images you upload online (don’t tell me you don’t post anything to social media sites!) can contain incriminating or important information about your location. Thus, it is very important to ensure that images bearing sensitive data can’t be used against you. For your own protection, let NoIMGdata quickly remove your images’ EXIF data.

A lot of people may not know this, but digital cameras, smartphones, and scanners store information in image and audio files. The data include the geo location where the image was taken, and chances are, if you’re really serious about your privacy, you won’t be comfortable sharing that kind of information with just about everyone. Once the image hits the vast interwebs, though, you won’t have much time getting rid of it. You obviously don’t want a single image to give your location away, do you?

Before you upload any pictures, it’s better to use DevStorm’s NoIMGdata app first! This means that anyone who knows how to check a picture’s EXIF metadata will no longer be able to figure out where you were when you took the picture.

Simple User Interface and More

NoIMGdata features a simple UI that is as pleasant to look at as it is easy to navigate. Just upload an image by tapping the pointer in the upper middle portion of the screen, and just sit back as the app reveals whether or not the uploaded image contains location data.

If the app detects location data, you get the option to either “clear location” or “clear ALL metadata”. Just follow step 2 indicated on the screen and tap the remove button to delete data. You can just tap the “View EXIF” button to find out what sort of information is in the image. Once you have removed data, the app saves the new version of the image to your camera roll while still leaving the original copy available for use.

If you’re lucky your image may no longer have any location data.

Even though there’s no location data detected, the app will still be able to let you view the EXIF information. EXIF informaton is also still available after you have removed the metadata.

A universal app, NoIMGdata is compatible with all iOS devices with iOS 4.3 or later and Android devices 2.3.3 and up.

There you have it, an easy to use application that will allow you to protect your privacy quickly. Download the .
