Words on Wheels – An App for Special Needs Children with Autism and Other Speech Delays

Autism is a developmental disorder that makes itself present in the first three years of a human’s life. It is a physical condition that affects the brain’s development of communication skills and social abilities. People who have autism are predictable and have repetitive behaviors. They like routines and they like seeing things the way that it is. Based on studies, when you let a kid picture a thing and let that kid draw that particular thing, the next time you’ll encounter the kid again, he or she will likely draw the same thing. It is also discovered that 1 in 88 children has autism. Experts are still widely discussing the causes of autism. Aside from the usual explanation that Autism is hereditary, they are also looking at the possibilities that the development of autism might have resulted from environmental factors and drugs that cause birth defects.

With this knowledge and awareness in mind, Excel Heritage Group, Inc. came up with this app called Words on Wheels – An app for Special Needs Children with Autism and Other Speech Delays. Words on Wheels presents a clever app idea because it aims to help kids with autism and speech delays to easily communicate their needs through the app. Words on Wheels effectively transmits the messages that kids with this disorder want to tell their family and friends making them feel that they are unique, loved, and valued. Fashion Police: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

Marchesa, Gucci, Chanel, and all the other designer pieces worn on the red carpet events are the things that I usually watch in Fashion Police. I watch to see what the A-list celebrities wore in prestigious events, and when they’re in their off duty looks shot by their reliable paparazzi. Who has the guts to tell these celebrities if they wore the right dress with the perfect hair and accessories? Only Joan Rivers and the Fashion Police crew can!

Fashion Police is one of the most watched shows in the E! Channel. If you are fond of fashion mixed with humor and nasty comments, then I’m quite sure that you have been following this show. There you can see the hosts praise and mock the celebrities based on what they wore. Other celebrities watch the show to know if they are on the right fashion track. Fashion police is led by the hosts, Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos. Now we can experience fashion and fun straight from our mobile device.

Rail Rush: Quest for the Golden Nuggets

When you utter the words “theme park”, a kid will rapidly have a bright wide eye look on you. I was like that when I was younger. Ludicrously, my love for theme parks has limits. I choose which rides to try. I’m a flake when it comes to heart stopping adrenaline rush based rides. I would rather spend my time lining up for a boring Ferris wheel ride.

I was pleased when I went to Universal Studios Singapore a couple of years ago and saw that the deadly rides wasn’t complete yet. We only rode a couple of heart pounding rides and the rest were all intended for kids. I distinctly recall the moments I had in the Revenge of the Mummy ride. We all thought it was just a simple ride as the roller coaster is built inside a huge building. Apparently, we were all wrong. It was one fatal ride; built not for the faint of heart. You will experience a thrilling rush, incorporated with different factors like heat and strong winds as you try to escape the vengeance of the mummy. I stepped off the ride literally shaking. I told myself, “this will never happen again”. Deep inside, I’m craving for more.

offers the same excitement as the Revenge of the Mummy ride. The Rail Rush app enables the users to mill around the mine with the help of a roller coaster like ride. While wandering inside, you need to gather gold nuggets, gems, and rock eggs. The obstacles inside will take you to a laborious journey. Expect the exhilarating rush as you go through different environments in a Rail Rush speed.

Fun Ways to Communicate with Skype, Viber, and Kakaotalk

Having constant communication with our loved ones is the best way to show that we care for them. A single text in the morning or a call before you go to sleep will make a huge difference. It can brighten up someone’s mood in just a split second. I admit that I’m like that. If I’m having a bad day and a friend suddenly calls to ask how my day was makes me happy. Even if though were miles apart, I can feel that there is someone who cares about me.

I have family members and friends who reside in different places in the world. I remember back in the days when I get that blissful feeling upon receiving Christmas and Birthday cards from my Uncle all the way from US. When technology altered the way we connect, we were able to get cheaper overseas calls. But somehow, we still ask for more. Email rescued us and Yahoo Messenger became a fad. I was one of those who became obsessed with video calls. It makes me feel closer to them because I can see them in real time, plus the comfort of not typing what I need to say.

Now that we are in the app generation, things improved in more ways imaginable. You can now talk for free and with better reception. Here are my top three apps that help me connect anywhere in the world for free.
