Help the Tiny Aliens Escape!

Having been a huge fan of Hollywood director Steven Spielberg, I kind of adopted his fascination towards aliens as seen in most of his classic movies such as E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Those movies feature harmless aliens that eventually morph into a cool, intergalactic buddy than a spatial, antagonistic abductor. Spielberg action flicks such as War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones 4 are an entirely different matter because the aliens there are horrific and CGI-crazy!

I’m used to seeing aliens in movies as the ultimate nemesis but recently, I came across an app where the aliens look miserable and helpless, and I couldn’t help but be curious and try the app. is a little puzzle game for Android which will make you think very, very hard of ways on how to save the tiny aliens from captivity and misery.

And because the tiny aliens in this app don’t look anything like the villains ready to bring chaos into the world, you’ll find yourself becoming more engaged with its mind-boggling gameplay. Ready for some puzzling alien action? Try out Tiny Aliens Escape and see if you can help them “phone hooooome.” Read more

May The Force Be With Angry Birds Star Wars!

I was beyond ecstatic when I found out that Disney—who recently acquired Lucasfilm and Star Wars—was planning to release another trilogy to the phenomenal Star Wars saga. This is definitely one of the best news of 2012 because the return of the Jedi (literally!) definitely uplifts every fanboy’s Jedi rage. I am one of the million Star Wars fans who are very much looking forward to the return of George Lucas’s singular and unique intergalactic characters such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C3PO, and my childhood hero, Han Solo.

I don’t care who’ll be playing who, or if the older actors will retain their old big screen alter-egos, or if the producers are planning to just leave the old ones to their happily-far-far-away-galaxy-ever-afters, I will still be one of the first fans to stand along a long queue of troopers who are manically kneeling at the altar of George Lucas.

Coinciding with this very good news was the release of Rovio Entertainment Ltd’s much-antipicated intergalactic version of the awesomely-received iOS and Android app, Angry Birds, called Angry Birds Star Wars. Whoa there, fanboys! Yes, Rovio came up with an app that isn’t only packed with smashing features and considerable replay value; they also managed to stay true to the Star Wars franchise by imprinting some of the beloved characters’ signature traits and armaments to Angry Birds’ set of courageous birds.

No one could even possibly envision my delight when I finally got to the stage where the Han Solo character, together with his rad blaster, had finally joined my army of rebel birds and started blasting off pigtroopers! And also, to see the Millenium Falcon do her thing again and explode the enemies of the Rebellion is such a good darn sight! It’s very nice of Rovio to use the actual Star Wars settings such as Anakin’s desert of a motherland called Tatooine, the Death Star, and Dagobah. This game is definitely one of those games where any players, Star Wars fan or not, will unlikely mutter Star Wars’s standard punch line, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” No, actually, I think most players will. Halloween is one of the perfect occasions to capture creepy and funny videos of yourself with friends and some random strangers. Android App Review: Magic Wingdom

Are you looking for a game that can be the perfect buddy on a lazy stay-in at home or at the hotel? Get your Android devices ready and download PlayCreek LLC’s action puzzle game called Magic Wingdom!

is a puzzle game that lets users draw and trace different lines to make the colored eggs bump into their color family. It’s fun to actually watch the eggs roll toward the center of the field because that’s when you know that chaos in the game is ensuing.  Actually, if I’m being honest with myself, I enjoy this game because of the chaos. As the game becomes more complex and the player gets all hilariously panicky, that’s when the real entertainment is making itself present.

I know I’ve been saying this a lot, but really, the phrase “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going” really applies to the idea of this incredibly addicting app. The harder the game gets; the rougher the player becomes. Read more

There is just no escaping math, ain’t it? Every where you go, every twist, and every turn, there are numbers. It’s an age-old fact. But as numbers are there for millions and millions of years, it’s also a given fact that a huge percentage of the human race would want nothing to do with math—or the hard ones at least. Applatter Picks: Top 5 Porky-licious Apps

Make way for the swine invasion, everyone! It’s here and it’s definitely taking the world by storm. No, I’m not referring to the swine flu or the foot and mouth disease—mind you, nobody wants to make way for that I’m sure. So what am I really getting at, you ask? Only they were green and odd-looking, but they were still pigs. Nonetheless, dear readers, I have excluded them in this list because I’ve decided that weird green pigs is not going to make the cut.

Ergo, the applications that I’m about to share with you all ham and bacon lovers has pigs as its main star—protagonist and antagonist alike. Don’t worry, I assure you that they are all pink, fat, and normal-looking.
